OM2 multimode armored fiber optic patch cord can be regarded as the updated version of standard OM2 multimode cables, it can function just as well but it is much  stronger than PVC jacketed cables. the difference is the stainless armor tube inside the jacket, and the inner tube and optical fiber with Kevlar are all inside the armored tube.
